ThinOffice Launch

working group around computer2006 was an exciting year as we successfully launched the ThinOffice solution for Resellers. The culmination of months of in-house planning and development, ThinOffice empowers channel partners to resell our industry leading Hosted Messaging and Collaboration solutions under their own brand.

The ThinOffice Solution offers great margin potential of 25-40% on an SLA- backed, integrated platform with management made easy through our common control panel the Customer Centre. The Customer Centre is the single point of administration for Exchange, Mobility and Email Firewall allowing you to manage your customers quickly and efficiently and even delegate administration for your self-service customers.

After a few short months, we have had tremendous interest from resellers in various geographies and verticals. Our first resellers are on the platform supporting multiple clients and many end users.

We are excited to inform you that we have listened to feedback from potential and existing channel partners and have taken steps to make the service even easier for you to promote to your customers.

Finally we are running a reseller promotion for Q1 2007 that offers incentives and rewards for our partners.

First Quarter Promotions

We will be running a promotion from January 31st to March 31st for ThinOffice resellers who have signed onto the platform by the end of January. Our goal is to get our new resellers excited about the opportunity...sign up soon to take advantage!

  • Sales Representatives will receive a one time cash award of $5 per full Hosted Exchange seat signed onto the platform during the promotion period

  • Reseller Companies will receive an ADDITIONAL cash award of $5 per full Hosted Exchange if they have registered the lead with us by February month end

ThinOffice Hosted Exchange Plan updates

women in boardroomWe have listened to your feedback and completed a market review to see what will make our resellers more competitive. With this completed, we will be introducing the following plan changes by January month end.

1) Hosted Exchange base storage change

We will be increasing the base storage for Hosted Exchange from 150 to 200 MB with no changes in your wholesale cost. We recommend that you pass this along to your customers to meet the growing market appetite for plans with more storage.

2) **New Hosted Exchange Plans**

Hosted Exchange Ultra Lite

We are adding the Ultra Lite plan to our product mix to address your needs for an entry position onto the Hosted Exchange platform. Ultra Lite is designed as a POP3 replacement that will allow you to capture all of the users at a target company without the complexities of split domains.

Now you can handle the functionality and pricing for all users in an organization from the mobile collaborative users to the simple email users. Key benefits for Ultra Lite are matching a user need to price point, the ability to average down the cost per user on prospective customers and adding an entry plan competing with POP3 from which you can up sell customers to full Hosted Exchange.

Hosted Exchange 500

Customers are looking for more and more storage. To meet this demand without the complexity of adding a series of marginal storage increments, we are introducing a 500 MB version of the full Hosted Exchange plan.

Simply select this plan for a higher bundled starting storage and greater revenue off the bat!

smiling womanStarting mid January, we will dedicate time to helping resellers land more business. We will work with participating resellers who have registered leads of 10 or more full Hosted Exchange seats. We will assist with profiling prospective customers, defining sales approaches as well as call planning. We are always available to support any sales questions you might have.

Exchange 2007

office buildingWe are currently running a Beta environment for Exchange 2007 (E2K7). Our target is to create a production environment available for resellers during Q1 once E2K7 successfully passes testing and is ready for a Hosted environment. After implementation, you will have the option of provisioning a new customer on either Exchange 2003 or E2K7.

A few notes on E2K7:

  • A richer Outlook Web Access experience more resembling full Outlook client functionality
  • Enhanced meeting booking functionality
  • Server-side search is integrated with Windows Desktop Search
  • Open other user's mailbox from OWA
  • True Global Address List drop down functions from Outlook Web Access

In addition, Outlook Voice Access is a new value added feature providing additional revenue opportunities. With OVA, you can access Exchange functionality over a telephone. Our early tests with this feature suggest that it will be a popular discussion and demonstration topic with potential clients.
